Charles I. Highstein M.D. spent his formative years in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1975, then returned to Baltimore to attend the University of Maryland Medical School. He received his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University. It was at Johns Hopkins that Dr. Highstein became one of the first surgeons in the country to be trained in modern endoscopic sinus surgery and surgery for Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome. After a one year stint on the faculty at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Highstein moved to Central New Jersey in 1985, and he started his own private practice in 1987. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American Board of Otolaryngology.
